Life. The greatest gift we have been given.
As I grow older, I look back and realize how many, many stupid mistakes I have made. I am the kind to beat myself up about things. But I also realize that we can not go around life being a victim. So this blog's intention is to help me learn to balance things and learn to live in the real world. I hope that if anyone is in a similar boat that it helps them

So. What to say? Well, life for me means making a difference. Actually DOING something to affect change. it doesn't have to be big, maybe just helping a kid with their homework. But at least they have been helped and you have made an impact on their lives. And that is why we are here, to help others and to live as Christ did. That is how Christ lived; he went to the least of these, the poor, the sick, the beggars, thieves, prostitutes, and other unsavory types some wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. but they are the ones we have been called to go to.

Take my friend, for example. He's not only atheist, but he is proud of it (I think; never had the heart to ask). He firmly believes in the singularity, a point at which humans are supposed to merge with technology. The saddest part is that he wants ME to believe it too. I have talked with him many a time, and yet I  never seem to be able to convey to him that I don't believe that and that I am trying to build a firm foundation in Christ. All I want is to learn how to live for Christ in a practical way.

I have a sadness in my heart when I think of him, and the opportunities that I missed to share the gospel with him and hopefully help him find the Lord. But that day may never come. One thing I DO know is that we can not effectively move forward if we are continually looking back. So I suppose that hopefully I can, through the input of others, find a way to live for Christ in an unchristian world.

Whatever you do, do it for the Lord. If you follow His will, He will reward you.
